  • The quantity of sensors provided depends on your order size. We allocate 1 sensor for every 1,000 square feet of flooring. Even for orders under 1,000 square feet, we ensure a minimum of 1 sensor is included.

  • The Smartplank app and sensors are purposefully designed for guidance rather than control. They do not integrate with "smart home" devices to manage temperature or humidity in your environment. Instead, their role is to assist you in maintaining the optimal conditions for your floor.

  • The technology uses a 2.4 GHz ISM-Band which is often associated with garage door openers or even a cordless landline phone.

  • t is not possible. The sensor uses Bluetooth connectivity which doesn’t allow for any other device to interfere with that connection.

  • If your floor floods neither the sensor nor the flooring will survive. At that point, calling your insurance agent would be the best suggestion.

  • Yes. In fact, it's one of the core reasons the sensor was developed, and it acts as a crucial component in monitoring an in-floor heating system.

  • Just click the “forgot password” button and you will reset your password. If you forget your username we can provide that based on your order.

  • Your furnace may be equipped with a humidifier, which can be controlled using a humidistat. If your furnace is not equipped with this feature, we recommend placing a humidifier/dehumidifier unit in the room(s) with a Smart Plank floor installed.

  • It is crucial that you contact your HVAC contractor to add a humidifier prior to the installation of your SmartPlank wood floor.

  • Wood flooring exhibits "active" characteristics, naturally expanding and contracting with varying temperature and humidity levels. Failure to maintain the proper environment in your home may result in damage such as cupping, checking, and cracking of your floor.

  • Most sensors last 5 years.

  • Our sensors serve as training wheels in your journey to understanding the ideal floor environment. They are a tool that helps you learn, and by the time the sensor's power depletes, you should possess the knowledge needed to maintain it effectively.

  • Thanks to its extremely low-frequency radio bandwidth, the sensor will have no interference or impact on any other devices or systems within your home.

  • The device is exceptionally safe. It utilizes low-energy Bluetooth and a radio frequency akin to that found in a transistor radio, ensuring it has no adverse impact on your health.
